Wrapping up at NCCAT

This is our third day at NCCAT and we are all a little bleary-eyed after spending all day staring at the computer screen. The gift of time has been so helpful as I don't think I would ever have had the dedicated time to spend trying out these tools. I am particularly enamored of VoiceThreads and am already planning how I can use this to hook teachers and students to use this tool. Spending this time with 7 other media specialists from Wake County was the icing on the cake. We all work under similar circumstances and can teach each other as we teach ourselves.

Thank you NCCAT for the time and space to be a lifelong learner without the stress of the outside world interfering.

On a lighter side, I have had fun making an avatar and trying to edit it to look like me. It's lame, but practice makes perfect.

NCCAT

There are 8 middle school media specialsts from Wake County who are spending a few days in the Teacher Scholar Program here at NCCAT trying to become more familiar with Web 2.0 skills. Together we have been exploring blogs, wikis, google docs, creating avatars, and voicethreads. Wonder what tomorrow has in store?
